Front sprocket movment - Question
« on: March 14, 2012, 01:01:56 PM »
I'm cleaning up my engine CB650 - 1981 for paint and noticed that the front drive sprocket has about 1/16" lateral movement. Is this correct? Does it need to be shimmed?

When I first got my 750 I found the same thing I put a shim in it to take out the slop. Later I found that this is a built in feature to help with any sprocket alignment front to rear so I took out the shim. It is normal to have this movement. I measured about 3mm on mine 78 750K
