O ring gasket for valve covers.

I polished my 550 valve covers and now they seem to be weeping. They are 30.8mm o rings according to Honda. Would I be able to use 31mm o rings from Home depot with no negative effect?

If they need to be the 30.8 would these work out? Not from honda but same size and only 99 cents each

I scored some 3mm thick 30-something mm ID o-rings from my local hardware store for about a buck a piece.
If they are roughly the same size you should be good to go.
