My tank happens to be the same color and has the dent on the otherside..but worse. Mine to is like new inside. I am getting help with mine in the form of a stud gun so we can pull the dents out..Really getting the body line back is the hardest part. The tank IS WORTH FIXING. Harbor freight has stud guns for $100 or less if you are a DIY....or find somebody with one. Finding a very good take will cost you...and you dont really know what you are getting sometimes ;)

So I called Race Tech to get a quote on parts for forks.

Forks springs $124.99 (.85 spring rate)
Emulators $169.99
Adapter for emulators $19.99

$314.97

I am thinking about splurging for this setup. I was just going to get progressive springs and some preload adjusters because I have been happy with them on TOA. This gives me something else to tinker with and adjust...  :P

I received my front rim from FFJ and ordered some spokes from Buchanan's . I will wait to order the rear rim and spokes. $278 just for the rim.

Got some OEM parts today. Honda switch kit, a new swingarm collar, side cover/oil tank rubber, foot pegs, and top tree nut/washer.

My new seat from Ricky Racer @ Classic Cycle City arrived today. Seat quality and customer service is as good as it gets.

Got my dummy panel jewel's back on

Love that switch kit, it even came with a new lock for the tree

Love this seat!

Stainless hinges made just for these seats

I find it so strange that the pegs are completely offset. Apparently its so the right peg will clear the kicker. The OCD in me wants to cut, grind, and weld to get things symmetrical... alas it will stay like that. No rearsets on this build.

Look at those pegs!

I completely understand your OCD mate... :o  I am trying to work out how to make rear sets using the stock pegs, i think they would look cool.... 8)  Looking good, love the seat, might have to get one of those as well... ;D

Love those parts! I've got the SS hinges on my Corbin.

There was a thread about the offset pegs, some time ago. Surprising how many people never realized they were offset until it was pointed out to them. Then they didn't like it at all, like you.

Other bikes were that way too, esp BMW, as the cyls were offset.

Try to forget about it.   ;)

Yea, I will try. I knew they were offset but man it really shows with no engine installed.

Again, very nice!

Where did you get the swing-arm?  I assume it's lighter and stronger than stock?

That is a Carpy swing arm I picked up from another member here on the forum. Not sure about the weight difference but some will argue that the performance of one of these swingers is not any better than the stock one. I really can't comment either way. I just like the looks, bronze bushings, and the fact I can install swingarm spools on them.

Does anyone have a picture of item #6 they can share? I think it may have gotten misplaced and I'm not really sure what it looks like.

I'm not at home so I can't take a picture but if I remember correctly it's not more of a cap then a washer.

No its a cap, in that the edges are folded down. It enshrouds the felt washer #4 protecting it from the elements. IIRC it was added later, earlier models don't have it, and it can be done without. Though its best to have.  You could assemble everything and add it later when you find one.

I'll snap a pic of mine at shop time this afternoon.

Yes, it’s a thin stamped metal cap design with inner “teeth” that engage the splines of the actuating cam to set initial alignment using the red arrow mark.

Thanks for the info everyone. So I am 100% sure my bike didn't have one. I would have kept track of something like that and definitely would remember seeing it. Hondaman doesn't even mention it in his book. I have a new felt washer so maybe I will be able to find a cap. Once again the forum comes through!
