You know, initially I was planning a nice Kerker chrome exhaust system but I realized I can't use my swing arm spools and rear stand with that system. That's a huge no go for me. I would love to have that Kerker though. I am hesitant to deal with MotoGP because of issues I have heard about dealing with the owner. Sound like he may have some anger issues.... Anyway I have also been considering Carpys stainless exhaust because those are pretty cool too. But you can't get to the filter without removing it. That sucks too. Maybe just another Yamiya pipe but this time chrome.

I have a first gen gpmoto system. Personally I had zero issues with Chris. Whole process was very easy for me. Carpy has been a different story for me.

I placed an order from Super Bright LED's the other day for some cool bulbs. I bought a replacement for my tail/brake light 1157 bulb. I am shocked how bright it is! I would guess its at least two times brighter. Good investment I think. I also bought some colored bulbs for my dash lights. They are pretty cool too.

Yup, that's a great tail light now! Me likes!

Back to the exhaust dilemma. In this day and age, there is no reason to accept an exhaust system that requires removal just to change the filter. Surely, it's not that much more effort to work the pipes around the filter. It's been done hundreds of times and the pipes can fit tighter to the engine as well.

I think in the case of Yoshimura and Yosh look a likes, the pipes were made to tuck in close to the centerline to use as small a fairing as possible. That was more important than removal at filter change time. Dedicated mechanics could whip it on and off.

Started on the carbs and stumped already. So I am not sure where this little oring or this little copper washer goes. Anybody have any ideas? I think the oring is for the bowl drain screw.

I also broke my #2 carb! Anybody got a spare?

BrandEn,

I really like the brightness of the LED tail light.  Did it require any relay or modification to stock wiring to the tail light?

Just make sure and get a red one if it's going in the taillight. You can read about it in their FAQ page but LEDs need to be the same color as the lens for maximum brightness ....

Looks real nice brandEn.  Side covers, too..?  The only thing I would do differently is to also paint the underside of the tank.  Most painters (even at the factory) omit that, and that's too bad.  Looking forward to seeing them on the bike.

Do you have 4 of those copper washers & o-ring's...?

I checked my Carb stock and it looks like I have a good #2 body for you.
LMK if you still need it.

Wonder if there is an LED headlight system out there? I'm sure some of these bikes with questionable charging systems could benefit from less power draw and more light is always a bonus!

I may have to invest in that LED rear light just from a safety point of view.

Thanks Larry, yea I got side covers too. Not sure if the bottom got painted or not I won't have it until Monday! Gonna be a long few days.

IW, not sure about an led headlight but that would be kinda cool. I just installed a H4 conversion.

Jeff, man thanks a ton for the offer I might take you up on that offer but it sounds like harisluv might have me covered already.....

As for the washer and o-ring. The washer is for the carb sync screws and the o-ring is for the bowl drain screws.

I would also like to mention that these cruzinimage carb kits are questionable. The copper sealing washer for the carb sync screws don't really fit.  The air screws aren't even close to matching the holes compared to the originals, the float valve spring is so stiff the weight of the float will not compress it, the idle screw holes are completely different....

I'm just gonna use all my original brass parts and use only the bowl gaskets and the cap gaskets.

I can figure out what this slotted post is for. The one my needle nose is pointing to.... It's offset so it is some sort of adjustment. Anyone know what it adjusts?

That slotted post is an eccentric shaped pin used for adjusting your “overriding stroke”, see page 4 of this service bulletin:

http://manuals.sohc4.net/CB750SB/750_25.pdf

I set my override stroke just above the engine stall point, around 850 RPM or so. The RPM drop helps to get your tranny in neutral with the engine running on those hot & sticky clutch days.

Pix are from the owners manual:

It is crazy bright. Saw a demo video of a single one. Pattern is fantastic and the high beam illuminated a stop sign 200 yards down a dark road! 2.5 amp draw at 12V
