I have had my eye on this for a bit

I really like the look of that shortened fender.   I'm wondering if it would mount up to a GL1000 front end without much brain surgery.

Nice.

This is what I want on my 550 but the price is a bit steep. Hoping to find a used one so I can paint it anyway.

I don't think this would fit on the GL front end.... but without having it in hand its hard to say.
The GL fork fender mounts are parallel (straight across) from each other. The mounts on these fenders and the 750K fenders sit at an angle.

Update on the fender:
I think I am going to splurge on this Motolanna fender. I hacked up my stock fender I had trying to lower it. It just won't work without some serious fabrication. The fender is to narrow for my wider tire and the fender bracket runs out of "meat" if I were to relocate the holes. Oh well, the fender I had was dented and would have annoyed me anyway.

Branden,

Thanks for the heads-up on the mounts.  That would have screwed the pooch!

That's nice. Would CarbonFiberGuy's fender fit? Perhaps he might need to expand his line.

hmm, I haven't seen his fender...

Those are nice, I don't think the carbon would fit this build.

Do you know if he makes them for an 18" wheel? I could always paint it.

It would ne a shame to paint but its only 273 grams, which has its own advantages...  I'm seriously thinking about getting a pile of his stuff and painting it myself. Nothing for an 18 yet as far as i know... I would like an 18 front guard also, I haven't seen his cafe guard yet {got pics of the rest though} but i imagine it would be fine with an 18 inch front... ;)

Thanks man, I will figure something out. I am still thinking of pulling the trigger on the Motallana fender. I might wait until I have my fork brace and tank mounted to make a final decision though.

What I'm thinking is Don needs to add to his catalogue with one like the stainless you're looking at. And you did say less chrome.....
