Anyone use wiper fluid hose for the carb vent and bowl overflow tubes?

Do the carb vent hoses route over the airbox? Can't find any info in the manual.

YES, ive used wiper hose, even back on my 350F.  cheap, and it slides on easy.
my carbs dont overflow regularly, so both times they lasted 2+ years without going to isht. 
i have run gas a few times through them on my K8 when draining my bowls.
the only drawback is they get slightly stiff.
i cut them long, and then once routed and zip tied under my bike, i cut them neat all the same length.

My carb vent hose is 6" long, and 'free floats' under my tank.
'78 750K (F3 engine) PD42b's, Modified airbox w/K&N  filter, 40/110 jets, 1 needle shim, IMS@ 1 turn out. Kerker + Cone 18" QuietCore

3.5 mm hose is expensive so figured I would save a couple bucks.

Well I said screw it and pony-ed up the cash for 3 meters of 3.5mm rubber fuel hose. $30! Got it from an ebay vendor because apparently Honda no longer sells this stuff.  How dumb is that?

Got these slick airbox filters. Figured it's better than open holes to calm down the turbulence

it sucks that size hose is so expensive. the 5mm is expensive as well. I paid $35 for 2 meters from japan last year. :rolls eyes:

I must have missed it, what airbox is that and why does it have those holes in it t begin with?

That's my OEM airbox that I modified/dicked up one afternoon after to many IPA's...
 :P


Seemed like an awesome idea at the time.


The 5.5mm fuel hose is well worth the money IMO. I tried a few different types on TAO and the Honda hose has been the best. Mainly due to the fact that you can pull it off the petcock easily and it doesn't leak. I figured the 3.5mm stuff would be nice to have as well.

Well hopefully it doesn't have any negative effect. Now that I have them installed it seems like they should work pretty good.

Setting up dual discs sucks balls. Got so frustrated I tried to strangle her from the rafters.



I managed to get it done though. The right side caliper kept binding up on me. It is VERY critical to make sure that the caliper arm is perfectly square to the rotor. If not things get all bound up. Here is a couple pictures of my washer/spacer stacks.

Top mounts got 3 washers
Bottom mount got 2 washers

It is actually easier to remove some material from the lower 8mm thread boss (mount) to bring it in line with the two 6mm top bosses (mounts).

It is actually easier to remove some material from the lower 8mm thread boss (mount) to bring it in line with the two 6mm top bosses (mounts).
That's what I did. Exc use to buy a really good hacksaw. Made a near perfect cut.

FIRST RIDE today. 13 miles on the odometer. La Flama Blanca runs SMOOTH SMOOTH SMOOTH. I am really pleased with everything. Got a couple issues to iron out but nothing major.

Oil and neutral switches need replaced
Clutch adjustment
Tach is sticking
Stator cover has a small leak
I need mirrors
I NEED a front fender. Gotta figure something out.
The float valves leak a bit. Gotta get new OEM parts.

Consider hangin a needle fender from the fork brace.

Is yours an 18" front? Besides the CB350/400F with a front 18" there was someone here looking at a place that makes aluminum 18" needle fenders.
