achieve a cheap 21'' wheel, with a dirtbike wheel
« on: March 18, 2012, 05:43:19 PM »
Im seeing people use dirtbike wheels on there old cb to give a cheap and easy 21'' wheel swap.  I would really like to do this, but i am not having any luck doing the research to see which ones use 15mm axles... Does anybody know about this, or any bikes that ran 15mm axles up front..?  Wanna get my bike on the road here soon!!!!

Maybe they laced a CB hub to the 21" wheel?  That way you can use the existing axle, rotor and caliper.  Your speedo will read low, however.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Don't  450's have 35 spokes?
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

You can have your stock hubs respoked to 21 " hoops that will be more costly or you can use early 80's YZ's have 15mm axles and you can try the SL 350,,also try XL 250 and larger bikes.....there are charts with axle sizes on the Ohio cafe racers site,,I think..

Thanks to all! I really would like to run a spoolie up front... but a little too much to lace one up.  I saw on the site called Chopcult  That there was a guy that picked up a 21'' and 23'' and it was slap on make spacers and go.  Really what to do it the cheapest rout as possible.  would like to get a used 21'' with a good tire from flebay or something.. Thats for the chart that will come in very handy!!
