It's been slow going, I have been working some and I've been focusing more on getting the space cleaned up around my shop.  I did get the air boxes on and all the wiring sorted properly.  I'm just taking my time getting her ready to be my "run up the street" ride.  I have a fantasy of rattle canning the side covers planet blue with spray max 2000.

A Huge improvement from that rusty looking mess you had to start with..and now it just about matches the rest of the CB360's Clean Vintage Look.

No pics but I started cleaning the motor and the frame under the gas tank.  All the painted black surfaces got hit with a plastic brush to knock the dust off then I blew it off with the compressor.  I'm using a soft stainless steel brush on raw aluminum and the painted case surfaces.  Again the brush to loosen the dirt and dust, the air to blow it off. This bike is pretty clean, there's a bit of greasy road grime on the front of the motor at and below the starter motor, nothing some dish soap and busted knuckles won't cure.

I'll try to take some pics later today.  I'm going to go back down and have at the right side of the motor and maybe pull the ignition cover and paint it before I move down to the grimy part.

HmA few pics, had to drill out the oval screws that hold on the points cover.  It got painted with dupli color gloss black engine enamel.  In the pic I can see back in the fins I missed a lot of dust! Grrrrr!
It's gettin there... I'd like to be riding this by Tuesday.  I know to never ever ever set a deadline so I'll say my projected date to be finished cleaning and tweaking is October 1st.

:) :) :)

Duplicolor Gloss Black Engine Enamel... I'll never go back to Rustoleum, it's amazing how much paint you can spray and it doesn't run.  On top of that, I squirted this at 3:30pm, then again at 3:40.  It's cured enough to install, it's 5:07pm.

That Duplicolor paint will last for a good while..& I know,w/ the price of fuel being what it is you'll be USING that CB360 for all kinds of purposes.

It's going to be my ride this summer.  The 650 is going to get put away and torn apart for frame and engine painting.

Oh and I'm getting ready to get rid of my car and spend the summer without a 4 wheeler.  Then get another Volvo wagon in the fall.  I love those things, they don't move, roll, shift or handle like any other car.  Very glidey but solid feeling when they are right.  They will haul lots of camping gear or bike parts.

I think the CB360 is an Excellent bike for everyday use and it'll save you a few bucks for fuel.I try to keep my 87'Volvo 240DL sedan parked and stay on 2 wheels as much as possible.

I had a blue '91 740 that I paid $1800.00 for.  I got hit headlight to headlight by an Electra 225.  Didn't feel it, seat belt on of course.  I was stopped at a light, dude ran it, I was looking at my buddy.  I heard it, looked over, the 225 is turned about 20 degrees and all smashed looking.  I looked back at my buddy and said, "I think he hit us".  The damage to my car was going to be $2800.00 to fix, the insurance company gave me the blue book based on it being in "good" condition $2300.00.
I had a silver 1990 after that.  That car went everywhere.  I was a huge photo bug for years and it served me well just out driving around.  Camping, wine festivals... Hippy chics!   I called it the Vulva wagon :)

Got both of my foot rests back on today.  Pulled the side stand off and painted that.  I would have gotten further but I stayed home today and worked on stripping the old seat cover off of my 650 seat and planning out what I want the seat to look like.

Left side exhaust in place.  I sorted out a tiny leak at the joint between the head pipe and muffler.  I use a flanged bolt where the PO had used a straight hex head 6mm.  The flange keeps the ratchet from bottoming out before the clamp is tight.
