Leaky Carbs
« on: March 21, 2012, 05:48:44 PM »
My float was not closing so I fixed it with a new clip and float needle but during the repair I discovered that the bowls are stripped and one is completely gorilla snotted on there. Someone did a real number on these carb bowls. And of course my bowls are leaking from the seals now. What would you do repair the bowls? Tear em all the way down and rebuild carbs completely? Or just buy a new set of carbs? Note these carbs were kicking a ton of ass before I took them off. Ke-jin Japans...Thanks for responding. Worm

Even if you get a new set of carbs off of fleaBay you may still end up having to work on them.  If the bike was running well on the carbs you already have, I would just fix them.
