Topic: bike revs at high speeds

Hi, I'm looking for some help on what my problem might be. bikes a 1971 honda cb750.
When I get up to around 60mph and try to push my bike a little harder it revs up like an automatic dropping gear to speed up and then eventually settles down. It actually seems to do this in lower gears as well.

i was told that might be it, it's not when I'm shifting gears though. Would that still cause it?

Slipping in higher gears is usually a premature sign that the clutch is going out.
