550F seat on a 77 k model bike
« on: March 20, 2012, 09:43:58 AM »
Will a 550f seat fit on a 1977 550k bike? I'm seat less atm and found a nice F seat for a groovy price!

Thanks,

Max

They look the same to me apart from the pattern. You can compare them here.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

The F seat will leave a gap at the tank. The F tank is longer at the rear, and accordingly, the F seat is shorter.

Good to know. I had a CX500 seat on my F for a while. It just didn't look right but it's all I could find.

HondaHondaHonda, bad news eh?  Well, if anyone else is interested in a very nice cb550f seat, then let me know.

I'll keep an eye out for a 550k seat too. I think I've seen one posted on san Francisco C/L lately.

Can anyone comment on 550f seat comparability between the various years?
