Will a cb360 tank fit the cb750 frame?

I really like the look of the stock cb750 tank, just a little big for my taste. Seen the cb360 tank. Same design just smaller. Will this fit right on my 75 cb750f?

Hi 75

Short answer = No :(

Pulled my carbs today on the 360 and remembered your question. Set the tank on my 76 750K6 frame. I was surprised how much wider the front of the 360 tank is than the 750 tank. In the pictures you can see how far out from the front rubbers the tank receiving cup is. Also the 750 has 2 top tubes where the 360 is a single. The top tubes keep the rear of the tank about 2" above the rear tank rubber.
Pictures follow.
Good luck whatever you do.
Steve :)
