Changing controls

Hi,

I'm considering swapping my controls for CBR600RR controls.  The colours are the same for the most part.  But i am wondering about the additional positions.  What is the difference between L1 and L2, R1 and R2?  What are possible complications in the swap?  The one i noticed was the horn grounds to the handle bar in the 550.

I could be wrong, but that may be for the turn signal buzzer. I put modern controls on my old F1. The stock front turn signals ha a running light and a blinker AND a buzzer. The new switch only handled the turn signals.

I put R6 controls on my K0. It took some effort on the wiring diagram, but I am very happy with it.

I also changed controls on my CB750.
All separate now. I like it.

I was thinking about separating controls like that, but seeing the picture, I am glad I didnt.

Yeah i forgot about the buzzer.  I won't be using it anyhow.  The cbr controls have wiring for the running lights.  I wonder how well this will all integrate with an acewell speedo/tach

My problem with the R6 was hard wired low beam and you could add high beam to it. Apparently R6 has two headlights.
I took the switch apart and the additional contact was there, manufactures dont bother with developing different switches. I was able to solder in the additional wire and now I have Lo on all the time and switch to Hi optional. Works for me.
Also for the right hand i was able to thread the plastic housing to accept Honda throttle line. My K0 has pull only.
