Yep, that's about where mine was mounted too. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Well i just read through the paper work that came with the Gerex, seems mine is the "racer" version, only to be used with total loss ignition.....

??? Maybe that's something to do with the red case? When you get settled, scan those instructions and e-mail them to me; I'm curious. No hurry, as I have a date tomorrow with a certain lizard... ;)

I have the same instructions as you Scott, read the fairing warning.. ;D but there is a couple more pages tacked on the end with a white sticker with big red letters saying, " Danger, to be used with total loss ignition only"  Once i get the move out of the way i'll scan everything and email... ;)

I can't imagine any reason for total loss only, unless they tweaked things to maximize output for 12V and lower, and 14.5V would let the smoke out?

I haven't read it thoroughly but the white sticker with red warning on it means business.... :o

It is probably something to do with the way its wired for total loss, if wired for a battery it probably will work... ;)

Bill,

Get your email address to me and I'll send the complete instructions. Regular email will work better for me rather than through the site.

Hey Bill's has got "Series II" marked on his CDI box, so as mine doesn't, I'm guessing mine is a "Series 1"? Do you need a rotor Bill? I saw one on EBay last week, I'll see if I can find it again. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Yeah Bill, Kawasaki plates are bigger than CB750's and GS Suzuki's, (which are interchangeable) so that'd be my guess too. You could probably trim the plate down to fit a CB750, if that was your intent? Cheers, Terry. ;D

Bill, what's the diameter of that plate? I can measure mine to compare.

Any demand for the series one Gerex? I have one I got with my gs750. How would I test if it works or not?
