ID this coil?
« on: March 24, 2012, 04:50:22 PM »
Anyone recognize these coils that are on my CJ360T?  There's not a mark on them I can see.

They look like copies of Lucas British coils;do you want to change them? Are you're points burning ? You may need to match up the correct condensers to them...and w/o i.d.'s I imagine that'll be difficult.  ::)

Look like the coils I seen on many 70's british cars. Mini for example.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I pulled these off and in the tiniest lettering possible they say "Klitz"  and "OEM" and possibly "acoui"??
On the bottom they are marked "C K".

Apparently used in Italian and German stuff. Not much on the web about them pops right up.

Anyway, I can't get any fire out of them. (which is odd, this bike ran (sort of) when I got it.)
I'm going to install some other 360 coils I have.

Thanks for your guesses!

A lot of bikes back in the 70's were switched to automotive coils. Could be from one of a hundred mfg.

Cycleranger,
Have you had you're 360 for a little while?..they're nice bikes.

I got the CJ about 6 months ago.  I have another complete parts bike as well.
This is the first time I've looked at the CJ since I bought it.
It ran, poorly, when I bought it but it's been sitting since then.
I thought I'd fire it up again before I started tearing it down to restore.
After swapping the coils I still couldn't get any fire so it must be something else.
I have to work on the 750K5 so the CJ will just have to wait a little longer.
