Honda CB900F Super Sport
« on: June 08, 2012, 04:51:55 PM »
Hey Guys like i stated in my thread in the open forum its been a busy and hectic few months. Now due to a near miss on the Interceptor i wound up having a good discussion with my mechanic who told me about this bike. I sold my CBR 600 project to make room for this bad boy...

Not quite sure what year it is yet. But i do know its the 900F model. It has an aftermarket 4 into 1 on it (not sure which brand..no markings on it) It also has pods instead of an air box. From the brief run i took with it it feels and runs like its been set up properly to run with both. To be honest the bike intimidates me a bit at the moment. Im sure that will pass once i get used to riding it. Im making a deposit on it at the end of the month and will hopefully have it home by July, just in time for the peak summer riding season here. Once its home the VF750 will be getting some much needed maintenance and possible upgrades. I will either update my old interceptor thread on here or start a new one when i get working on it but i do know i will be hunting for CBR wheels this year for it. The time has come for the Interceptor to get some high performance rubber!

Nice one! The guys at this forum are very helpful  http://www.cb1100f.net/index.php and these guys too http://www.cb750c.com/index.php . And be sure to download the carb manual at http://www.cb750c.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=13611  for invaluable help when you attack them. They are a bit more complex than the sohc 750 carbs. Cheers, Cliff.

Thanks for the Links! Fortunately i will not have to deal with the carbs on this bike since my mechanic did them for the seller just last season. So they have been cleaned and the fuel system gone through. At the most i will have to do is an oil change for this year. Thats one thing about this bike...its ready to rock and roll just waiting for a more experienced rider. The seller bought it as his first bike and he cant even flat foot it so it would be too much of a handful for him power wise. I took it out for a brief spin before making the deal and its got a TON more grunt then my VF750 Interceptor.

I barely got it out of 2nd during the test ride and i have a feeling it would be quite the handfull had i opened it up. I didnt have my normal helmet or gear on at the time since i had not planned on a test run at the time. But from what i felt during that short run....I have a feeling this bike is gonna get me into trouble!
