The other day my bike fell with the key in the seat lock and it bent so much that it broke once I pulled it out. So today I went down to the local Honda shop with my ignition and they cut me a new key in minutes. It cost 5 bucks. For once something went smoothly. I hope this helps someone. I read a few threads about where to get new keys.

you sure they didn't just pull it out of a drawer already cut?

If it's the original lock, they are precut numbered keys, of maybe a dozen cuts.

Thirty five years ago the Honda shop kept them in box on the counter.  You picked your own number.
