Two-Bit from Iowa here
« on: April 03, 2012, 03:12:45 PM »
Hello all. I have a 1976 CB550 that I will be may be building a cafe racer out of. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else is doing with their old Hondas. First off, is there any particular place online that is better than most to buy cafe seats, handlebars, etc... that I should know about right off the bat?

Welcome!

Where in IA are you?  I'm in Cedar Rapids.

Dime City
Cycle X
Old Bike Barn
Parts n More

And of course--Ebay.

The links are on my home computer, but you should be able to find all of these with a quick Google search.  I'm sure there are many other sites for what you need, this is what I cold think of off the top of my head.

All the best,

Shane
I mount and balance MC tires--while-you-wait service by appointment.  Send me a PM.

welcome to the obsession! Dont run out and buy anything. Spend 1 week cruising this site and you will learn how to make your own cafe seat, or restore your bike to stock, members sell and trade extra parts all the time.

Des Moines. I see in your avatar photo that you have the drag pipes on there. I had some on mine, but it needed re-jetting so I put the 4 into 2 Jardine's on. Now it's too quiet.  ;)
