best I can tell the wheel bearings are newish, they are modern looking bearings with rubber seals, and they feel nice

I need to take a trip over to harbor freight and buy a magnetic dial indicator to measure the side to side and up and down movement for trueing

That sounds good on the wheel bearings..I've taped a pen onto my swingarm in the past for a rough indicator just to get it "with-in the ballpark".
