Topic: Which setup 849CC Cyclex

Hello SOHC admirers!

Short introduction of myself: 
CJ Blok living in Holland. 31 jrs old.
Owner of this caferacer:

Which I bought like this:


This winter I did the engine. I use a Cyclex 849cc kit. The cilindersleeves are from a Boldor.

My question is:
Which carberator setup do you guys use?  Which sprinkler? Which  position of the gasneedle?

I don't know if I use the correct language, but this is my best

Why don't you ask Cycle Exchange (Cycle-X) in Wisconsin, USA?
They run all of their engines on a test stand. I am sure they know.

What's the year, what carbs are on it, that sort of stuff will help. I'm as useful as tits on a bull as far as carb tuning goes, but that will get the ball rolling. Also have you started it? What do the plugs look like. And welcome to the sohc4 fourm, your English may need a little fine tuning    , but then again so could mine

I use stock carbs. It's a 77 F1.

Funny, I'm allready in contact with Voxonda. He took care of the oversized cilinders. On his advice I'm using Bol d'or cilinder sleeves.
he's gonna help me with the finetuning.

Your stock carbs will work fine with most lightly modified engines mate, you don't need CR's or any other race carbs unless you just want to make your bike look cool, for little benefit. Get your jetting sorted (access to an exhaust gas analyser will really help) and install a better ignition and you'll be good to go. Cheers, Terry.

Had a short run with it.
idle jets are to small, it will stop when a close the throttle.

Further more i guess the gasneedles need one click poorer. Spark plugs all black now.
