Hey Folks...
Made the first LONG trip on the 750...970 miles this weekend...
Pretty uneventful ride actually...except for the 4 hours in the rain on the way home last night. Did find that I need plug wires and caps!!! After about 20 min. in a downpour...lost two cylinders...finally found a service station and kept it running till things dried out...Sprayed the wires and caps with some scotchgurad they had there and that seemed to help keep the wires dry enough to fire. The old girl didn't let me down...got some nice comments along the way too. Seems half the population had one of these bikes in the 70s and 80s!
Still bothers me to see the kind of RPM it runs at speed...as you guys say...I really seems to like to spin.
Longest stretch was about 6 hours in the saddle...that's probably about the limit this old body will tolerate on this bike...

Good ride! I was bound and determined that I was going to go somewhere, but the temp pegged 90º plus Friday, and stayed that way all weekend. I rode a little Sunday and it was miserable! (Black helmet, too HOT!)

It was pretty warm...mostly 90s
I rode down to the FL coast...Black helmet too! FL doesn't have a helmet law...rode to the beach a couple of times without it...sort of make me uncomfortable without it though.
Sure do hear lots of noises from the motor and drive without it too!
Got a good start on a Farmers tan!

Helmets...stupidly, I LOVE riding without them, especially in hot weather!

so do I . when I left calif for idaho there was no helmet law and same with Idaho now back in calif got to have one and I hear Idaho is now looking at making them manditory also .I still belive it should be up to the rider my self . also makes it hard to pick up a stranded car driving  woman with only one helmet  ;)

I've never let any law prevent me from picking up a woman by the side of the road  ;D
