Well ive been monitoring this forum for a while and slowly progressing with my own project, so its now my time to update you all

I bought a 1978 750CC K8 honda off Ebay from a bloke in scotland.

The bike was described as a runner, but had been stored for approximatly 3yrs

The bike started but was very rough and lumpy.









Shorten the rear fender and fitted a LED rear light







New front Wheel 2.10with a Cb550 hub, powder coated black and annodised wheels and stainless steel spokes



New 8" headlight with bullet indicators



Im liking this design to be on the tank

Hence the bikes name of "Black Jack" thinking of using a Gun metal Grey in there too

What is it with the gigantic seats or is it a trick of the light?   :o
I hate our gigantic number plates as well.

The seat is gone, and so has the number plate. lol

Going to make a custom seat, more picturesto follow

When we split the engine, the pistons were sloppy in the barrels

After looking around I decided tofit a set of 836cc big bore kit.

We ported and polished the hea a little and fitted a slighty faster cam.
I'll get the exact spec to follow.

Engine stripped down to clean and a hole found in gearbox casing.



Popped down to my mates garage to weld up the hole



All glued up

If I was welding that case I would have wanted it spotless before welding.
 It seemed very dirty to be welding on it.

 Did both sides if the crack or hole get welded?

You know you're clocks are switched? Might not be an issue unless you're going to use the stock dash light panel, then the trip odometer reset knob may interfere.
