MoMo's shop/blog finished bath UPDATE starts post 107
« on: April 01, 2012, 04:20:20 PM »
Hey guys,  made settlement on my new house last Friday, it is a fixer-upper but has a great man-cave and pretty cool Victorian style.  As of now though I am carrying two mortgages- pray that the present house sells soon so I can move on.  When the present house sells I will be able to pay for the new house in full and still have some funds left to fix most of the problems.

front of house, porch roof needs to be torn off and redone-just got a deal on the shingles yesterday.  Half price 8)

rear-big deck that overlooks a major intersection.  Hoping the visibility may get me some work.

now the best part- a three car garage with storage over the entire length and a shed big enough to hold at least nine bikes ;D

inside of the two car section-CZ and Jawa are already home

big shed- came with two church pews and a set of stairs for the garage

inside of the one car side that will be the shop work area

Now all I need to do is sell this house, move everything and set up shop.  Should only take..........................................................................?...Larry

Cabinets look good, just slap some black granite and tile back splash and you'll be cooking!

Steve-o,  you buy the granite :P.  I am amazed at the young couples looking at my present house who expect granite, actually demand it >:(

Shop has potential for sure. Congrats on the new space.

potential gets completed with time, money and energy.  At 65 with minimal money until present house sells I am on the short end of that stick.

Looks great, will look even better with an old gas pump out there...

especially a Sinclair pump with a dinosaur.

That church pew will come in handy when you need to lie down & take a break from searching for a special size "jesus" clip which landed "somewhere" on the floor...or is it still somewhere "on" the M/C....? or in my shoe.  ::)  ;D

Yes, it most likely is as most rooms are almost identical in size save the kitchen, which is smaller but include the stairway and it becomes 14 x 15- give or take a couple inches that is the size of the eight rooms.
Nice!  Congrats!

thanks, work is coming along slow but steady

800k :o :o :o  I've been to CA, cannot fathom how people afford to live there.  When I was there in the 80's a very similar house to this one was in the 400k range.  It was somewhere near LA.   ....Larry

4 bedrooms, not sure if there will be one or three open.  See you Sunday...Larry

  Where are cats?

Still at the present house.  I have 4 so it will be a major change for them, especially since it is near a major intersection and they probably won't be allowed out to play, could always turn them into barn cats.

You'll have you're hands full keeping them in the barn when you take bikes in or out;I hope they are wary of the danger to cars...once they've been outside in their lives it's SO difficult to make them into "house cats". My Best regards to you on their Move  :o :).

Good one!   Still no bites on present house, since new one is a fixer-upper I'm spending whatever spare time doing that so that once present house sells I can move quickly...Larry

The countertops are so out of style that they are coming back in style!  I say keep 'em!

I have been thinking of keeping the tops eidetaker and adding  black and white checked linoleum flooring.  Plan is to make the house look as though you walked back into a time warp.  A new countertop would require some serious work as the feeds for the upstairs bedroom radiator are in one of the jutouts behind the microwave...Larry
