Hi from Toronto
« on: March 29, 2012, 10:40:07 AM »
Hi All,

Picked up a '78 CB570f SuperSport last November and have been updating where possible. Its in pretty good shape overall but 34 years old parts sometimes don't cut it.
My wife and I are in downtown Toronto, Ontario, CA. We're in a condo with no 'working' garage, so builds are going to kept to easy stuff (read:no engine rebuild). She loves me enough to allow parts in the kitchen, in the living room, in the tub, spread across the coffee table, etc... :) I'm a Product Designer by profession, so I'm constantly looking at the parts and thinking how I can modify without any major machinery.

I'm new to bikes, so I'll be looking to everyone for advice on how-to. Thanks in advance.

I'm late to the introduction but have been lurking, so I'll fire a build post soon. I'm already deep enough to think there's no light at the end of the tunnel but seeing everyone's build always inspires!!

cheers.

Looks like you have a really nice 750.  Hope you enjoy it and get some good rides on it.  I know what "the city" traffic can be like, so be careful out there.  Maybe plan some nice rides north of there and get to see some of my territory. ;)

Hello Becker and welcome,

As Brooze says, there are a few of us near you. I am north west of TO near Georgetown.

It sounds like you are taking things a bit at a time and have an understanding and patient wife.

Good luck with your project and above all, enjoy riding and be safe.
