New superbike bars = brake line problem
« on: May 08, 2005, 08:36:03 PM »
I just put on superbike bars from Cycle Recycle and I really like them.  But I'm having a problem with the routing of the front brake line.  The line is very long now and bunches up and bends behind the headlight.

Is it ok to have bends like this in the brake line?
How have you other folks gotten around this problem with your lower bars?

Thanks,
Justin

This is not a great idea, especially considering it's your life on the line  ;)

I'd seriously consider some new brake lines.  I've never seen short ones sold, just longer for the 70's ape-hangers people liked soooooo much  ::)

Might want to consider a set of braided lines made to fit, or you need to measure the distance you're looking for and find a compatible stock brake line that's close.
