Topic: Will 35mm CB750 Emulators Fit in 33mm CB400F fork tubes ?

Does anyone know if the Emulators for the 35mm fork tubes on either the CB550 or CB750 will physically fit inside the 33mm forks of the CB400F ? I Know that RT sells an "adapter" for the Emulators for the CB400F...and I'm just guessing that they may use the same size Emulators...? I may have access to a pair of Emulators that fit the CB750...and just thought I'd ask if anybody has ever tried it.

The adapters that Race Tech has are for enabling the emulators to properly fit on top of the damper rod when necessary. I would give Race Tech a call with your questions. They are great people to work with.

I'll call them when I'm ready to order their adapters..but if I already have the Emulators they may ask me what model I have...and then tell me I NEED to purchase the correct ones for the CB400F...I was just trying to see if anyone else had tried the swap.I can get the ones for the CB550 & CB750 from someone for less than 1/3 the price of new RT..and I think they are the exact same size part.Just wanted to do a bit of research first...before considering my plan.

Have any of you members done a comparison between the Race-Tech Emulators & the ones from Mikes XS ? A real swap type of test ? I can afford the Mikes XS ones a lot easier than the $170 RT ones...and I just wondered if there is a noticeable difference between the two...
