Hello everyone!!!
ME: I am RM and I just bought my 1st bike EVER. I got the bike from a friend of mine who bought it about 5 years ago, fixed some issues, rode it about 100 miles and then let it sit in his garage for the next 4 years. I am 35yrs old and have dreamed of owning a bike for a long time but never brought myself to buy one. While dumping a few cold ones down our throats at a New Years Eve party he offered to let the bike go for $600. It took me a while to fork over the cash and get my permit as I was hasty and unsure of the idea of my dream coming true.
THE BIKE: 1974 Honda CB750Four. Tank cap was missing, bought a whole tank with cap and petcock on CL along with a seat (shown in pic) and a starter solenoid all for $100. New battery. Starter button missing, wheels pitted and rusted, carbs out of tune, valves need to be lashed, but all in all it runs good and in 5 days time I have put 127 mile on it without any issues (well I did forget to turn the petcock on yesterday and scratched my head on the side of the road until I had a brain fart). A new rear tire is in my future and I need to get some paint on the tank. The seat I bought separately is narrow and a bit uncomfortable but it so damn cool and retro that I might just have to suck it up and paint the tank to match it.
MY WIFE: Nervous wreck but she is awesome and can't wait to jump on the back.
