« on: April 02, 2012, 11:26:38 AM »
And finally got some decent pictures (my wife followed in her car and took the pics).

Hope y'all enjoy them:

Nice,, Justin.   Where were the photos taken, looks like an old mill?  I'm still working on the bike I got from you-probably be a long while as I need to sell this house and move.  Hope all is well...Larry

Justin, looks like a great time mate.

No front fender eh? I chopped mine down a bit (it was rusted through anyways) and I'm getting sick of cleaning mud out of the headers and fins. You must be covered with no front fender.

I notice you've got pods too. How'd you go tuning it? I stuck with the airbox because I'd heard pods were so difficult.

One last question, with the aftermarket muffler, do you have any low end lag on the throttle? I've got an aftermarket pea-shooter style muffler and am convinced it's not as responsive off the line as it should be.

Thanks for the photos, love it.

Rick.

Rick,

It definitely sucks in the rain, ha! There is an embarrassing story involving me dropping the 400F and it landing on my pristine front fender...but I'll tell that some other time.

As far as the pods and aftermarket muffler. Both were done by the PO. The bike runs fantastic. I have yet to find any flat spots or lag. I wish I knew exactly what he did as far as jetting goes. I believe he may have done some drilling/reeming of the jets.

Larry,

Good to hear from you, man! Good luck with the house sale, and get that 400 back on the road! hopefully we'll catch up for a ride sometime this year. If not before, definitely during the Rally.

The pics were taken at a few different places in and around Frederick, MD. The big white building is a historic farmhouse on the Monocacy Battlefield.

BigBoi,

Thanks for checking out the pics, man. Glad you dig em!
