Lucky how about you finish typing a reply before posting, saves a lot of posts, and I am well aware oil is a petroleum product, I spend enough hours covered in it but it is not volatile in the fact that it is not likely to explode, it can be made to do so providing you can apply enough heat and compression, if a high school student was killed by welding on an OIL tank they must have had the tank sealed, or had washed it out with a volatile solvent, just a typical case of Darwins theory. Oil will not explode without giving plenty of warning unless it is hit suddenly with extremely high temperatures and pressures not even an oxy kit has enough heat alone.
