finally got to my carb vacuum sync, and my friggin' #4 slide/idle adjustment screw/nut is stripped   >:( &$@#!
it just spins in place.  Thankfully, i'm pretty close to being balanced.  A whole rack of PD42b's are $100+ 
i just need that little slide arm. 
time to search rebay.... :-\

Hey flybox, send sohc digger a pm or check his for sale thread.  He does a lot of carb cleanings/repairs and has a bunch of spare parts.  He might be able to help with what you need.

Metalwork and welding is an art I know very little of.
Played with my new eBay gauge faces...

You did a beautiful job on the gauges!! WOW!!

Ditched the cheap Chinese LED blinkers for some smaller, nicer, round signals. Front wheel came off today for some deep cleaning on the rims and spokes.
Removed the front caliper for a fresh piston seal and new EBC pads.  34 years of isht hiding in there  :o
All came apart pretty easily. Had to pump the piston out with the fluid and brake lever. Cleaned up easily enough.
Fresh coat of paint added too...all balls bearings and ss brake line from slingshot cycles on the way....

Had some time today.  Front fender had a few dents out on the tip, so I chopped, sanded and repainted.

Front and rear were off for spoke cleaning.  Installed new all balls bearings in both.
Repainted front brake rotor hub.  New emgo brake shoes on rear.  Light polishing on rear brake plate.
Everything went back on fine and i notice a 3mm-4mm wobble on my rear. It's gonna have to come off for truing and a rebalance.
Went to bleed my front with new ss lines, and my MC is blocked. Can't free up the holes in the cup, so MC rebuild kit on order.
Started tank paint removal on my PO flat black rattlecan job.  CitriStrip is Nice to work with. painted it on before bed. 8 hrs later it produced this rubbery mess. Scrapes off easily. Residue wipes off with mineral spirits.

New territory for me - Paint.   Have to get these light impressions out first.
Maybe a sandable spray primer/filler?

Hahahaha branden...I'm considering it. Something textured would be good.
This CB would look odd with a stellar paint job similar to the ones you and tweaking have.  That'll have to wait for the next project.

Makin' hay in the PNW. My first go at rattlecan.
4 coats etching and 4 coats sandable primer. Easy.
Now to do work.....

to all of you who do paint and bodywork, i give you props  8)  my first attempt a prepping a tank for paint.
time consuming 12 coats of sandable filler primer, wet sanded w 400 after each 3 coats, to get this point. It looks like new. Paint flies this weekend.

..and a little refresh of my tank badges.

thanks to members nvr2old (for the inspiration, great work) and to Kong(for great tips)
3 long weekends of sanding and painting.  Spraymax 2K clear went on and looks good.
covers by frankenfrankenstuff. 
one last sanding tonight and then polish....but not before a photo op  ;D
picking up the seat from the upholsterers later this week.

Sweet job fly! Nice job on the gauges I may have to come up and let you put my originals back together. And super nice job on the paint. It's fun enit? Gotta love a white SOHC4. Too bad Honda never thought of that.

The Mutt v2.0 ;D (holy pipes were bugging me  ::) )  trying out this small internal baffle for a few weeks.  its just 2.5" x 6" and has nothing wrapped around it.  its just straight through.  DB Killer, IIRC.  If I get too many complaints from the spousal unit, i'll order that reverse cone slip-on from coneeng  :P
