Finally a day of Summer
« on: April 09, 2012, 12:55:40 AM »
It has been a miserable Summer for NZ and looked likely that we were going to skip Autumn as well and go straight to 6 months of Winter but surprise surprise today we got one out of the bag.
I got 100 k's done, rode with 4 other bikers to a county pub where we found 60+ bikes lined up on either side of the road.
Sometimes the sun just shines eh! ;D

Google Earth the Patangata Tavern and see where we got to, the roads are twisty and narrow but have very little traffic on them. :)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Welcome to the club! We've had two miserable summers in a row here in Seattle and vacinity. Last year they said we all of 87 minutes of summer because that's how long we had over 80 degrees. This year is shaping up to be a good one hopefully. it was 70 degrees F (21 C) and sunny the past 2 days and it's only April! Yahoo!

We didn't have much winter here, it's been scary warm. The bugs are already bad on your shield. I think I rode in every month, not positive about december. More seasonal this week but still nice.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
