Topic: '76 cb750 carbs on a '77 cb750k????

From what I've read, it seems like this set up would work.   I was wondering if I will need to use the '76 throttle cables tho.
If so, will the 76 cables jive with the threads, throttle tube and control housing on my 77?

You would be going backwards. Thw 77-78 PD carbs are better. Yiou have an accel pump which gives better response  when clean and adjusted properly.

True, however the 77 set I have is damaged, and I was able to pick up a rebuilt 76 at a great price.
So, I would like to try and make the 76 set work.

Straight swap, though you'll need the earlier air box & carb boots too. Good luck!

I have 76 boots, and using pod filters.  Still not sure about the throttle cable length.  Looks like the linkage set up is different between 76 and 77.
