GZ on Old Scramblers 750. Then the hand off to Sean Barney! Very cool event.  Nice meeting grasscutter, skam
And seeing banker danny return to his SOHC roots! SixthWisconsin and his friends. Breakfast was good and it's always cool riding in a group.

Thanks Tews19 for the pics.......We were SCRAMBLING for time so Lefty had a minimal tour of the Rocker Box Festival......Grasscutter came in from Omaha and stayed at my place on Saturday night......we went for a short ride on Sunday AM....a little of the Kettle Moraine Forest.....a little of Elkhart Lake.....a little of Sheboygan on Lake Michigan........and then he was on his way back to Nebraska via Wyalusing State Park.  He plans to post his story and pics on Monday.

He forgot to hand-off the log book......so.....I will mail it to someone in Michigan.

Meeting the others (some for the 2nd-time) was GREAT 8) 8) 8) Several others also said hello as the growing number of SOHC/4 logos begs instant HEY...WHO ARE YOU? when spotted.  Grasscutter is making plans to meet me in Davenport at the Chief Blackhawk AMCA event on August 31st.....and he is also planning a winter bike trip from Phoenix to Florida to meet up with my brother-in-law.....and maybe some other sohc/4 members along the way.

Faces and places......its GREAT ;D ;D ;D

Keep the pictures and stories coming, please. :) Remember to identify the culprits involved. I've figured out who Scrambler and Barney are, but who is the guy in the helmet? Danny?

Also, thanks for the looking out.......very scenic route. Too bad with all the trouble I missed cars and coffee. I did however meet a fellow when I was putzing with the beast at the roadside, had a garage and tools and was a hell of a swell samaritan. Offered to trailer my bike home....

The guy in the helmet is my buddy Scott.....riding a dohc 900.

The Rocker Box festival is a NO ADMISSION street party on the near northeast of Milwaukee.  They close 6 blocks along Center Avenue and parts of the side-streets to allow space to park bikes and set up street vendors.  The basic theme of the party is to display bikes that you have 'built' to your personal taste. Trophies are made on-site by welding discarded bike parts into a memorable token of appreciation. This year's welder was a lady 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Food and beverages (including margaritas) are plentiful but a few ran out of food and I observed extra beer being carted in at 3:PM.  The long-distance award went to someone from Colorado but we (grasscutter from Omaha) doubt if he actually rode a bike.  British, European, Japanese and vintage American brands are on display, both in the show for awards, and along the streets. H-D is in the minority.

People watching is entertaining and the trick-trials riders do a few shows.  The crowd gathers early and the streets are packed with people from 11 to about 5.  I must be spending too much time at bike events.........I had people say hello throughout the day and counted over a dozen that commented how much they enjoyed finding the nice roads to ride near the Elkhart Lake area.

I have to sort my pics for another posting......but unique for this year were two CB750 Automatics entered in the show.....one was boosted 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)  and then there was a CB350/4 bobber and a CB400/4 stuffed into a very trick Cushman chassis.

Hey Danny,

Pics, or it didn't happen!!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

I took a some pictures, including a couple with Lefty. But I was using Old Scrambler's camera and so I don't have copies.

Dennis, can you post a couple?
