Fuel consumption test on CB 400 F
« on: April 14, 2012, 05:02:16 PM »

Hi,

Testing my rebuilt motor which only has 120 miles on the clock.  I have driven 62 miles, city and highway driving (not over 60 MPH or less than 5,200 RPM) under cold weather ( 41 to 50 degres F) conditions and a non broken in motor.

RESULTS: 1.6 US gallon for 62 miles

METRIC : 6.1 litres for 100 kilometers.

Should get better results as the motor gets set in.

Is this good mileage?

Nope, not good yet. I get 50mpg on my 350f and you should do slightly better.
