I was looking into these conversions and know probably some of you guys on the board have done this before.  Ive seen the kits online, for $40-50.00.  I would like to get rid of the loose ball bearing since i have the front end apart.  Im building a cb550 1975.  It is a quick swap right..? there isn't any cutting or modifying I have to do.. just plug and play?

If anyone knows of a good brand or something you suggest it would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!
Matt

Not hard to do.  You'll need some way to lift the front end of the bike to where you can drop the front wheel & forks, and a decent set of bearing drivers to help get the new bearing races to seat without buggering them up.

Handling-wise it's one of the best improvements to make, IMHO.

And you can borrow/"rent" bearing drivers from Autozone.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

Don't worry ...you will not have to actually do any work. It is plug and play.
You still have to get your hands dirty but all you have to do is wear gloves. LOL....lol..
