Total Nube
« on: April 11, 2012, 03:24:31 PM »
Hi all,
I've lurking for a while and decided I needed to become a member. I've owned several SOHC Honda's and currently own a 1975 CB400F that is finally getting the attention it deserves.

I've owned my own M/C shop for the last eight years but am giving it up to be the parts and service manager for a new level five Honda powerhouse dealership.

Hope I can contribute.

Good luck with the new position. You will need this forum to vent your aggrivation and disgust for customers and fellow employees. SOOOOOO.....what kind of oil do you use? Is your bike a cafe or a resto? Have you ever heard the Zappa song about MO?

Welcome to the forum.

No, Franken. I heard the one about MT tho.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

The bike is morphing into a nice club racer. I bought a spare engine and plan on doing a big bore kit, cam and head work. The front forks will be replaced with some more modern fare and I'm working on a beefier swingarm. No clip ons as I'm more comfortable with superbike style bars. Stock tank and maybe one of Bret or Tanner's seats and then ride it at track days and on the street.

That's the plan anyway, we'll see how things shake out.

Oh, I've worked in the m/c business since I was fresh out of college. I have a well developed griping mechanism.

The 400F was always a really neat bike. One of those or a 350F is on my bucket list for some day. It sounds like you have some pretty radical plans for it - keep us updated!

so you're a dental floss tycoon?

Welcome, chetriply.   Owning you own business is not all it is cracked up to be.  I had a photo lab for 10 years and had to close the doors, a lot less stress working for Home Depot now...Larry

No doubt Larry. Everyone thinks you're rich and can do whatever you want when the reality is, the wolf is camped out at the door and you work harder than you ever have.

By wolf I assume you mean every vulture with the ability to tax your business and personal incomes?...Larry
