Cleaned my garage over the weekend, and FINALLY found the caliper piston that I lost when it blasted it out of the caliper of my first 550, 3 years ago!  What important parts have disappeared into the abyss of your garage or while you were on the road??

My keys jumped out of the ignition while riding my old Kwak. Just as well Kawasaki didn't make more than 10 different keys for the triples.  :o

Lost the ball bearing from the kick starter.  It never has turned up.

Lost a side cover on my RD Yammy I had in HS.  Found it later on the side of the road. Lost it again. Bought a new one. Totalled the bike about a week later.   :(

Oh man...  many things.  Um, valve keeper(s) that got launched when my custom spring compressor slipped.

...and a "350 Four" emblem that shook off during a ride.

.. oh and a hunk of my top clamp after hitting a pothole.

Lost (some may say misplaced) my impact screw driver (40 years old) last fall in the garage.  I could not find the sucker so I bought a new one.  I am sure the old one will show up in the next week or so.

On second thought I should have asked my wife ... she seems to know where all my "junk" is ... since its "her" garage  :o

Needle "E" clip at the side of the road so 120 miles from home.  Never found it, but made it home by taking a strand of copper from stranded wire I stole from a redundant circuit on the bike.  Made an improv twist tie around the correct notch.

I lost the megaphone off my 360 somewhere on the road. At least it wasn't a stock system, or I'd really be kicking myself.

Nearly lost an upper suspension mounting bolt off my old Kawi 650 once - it (barely) stayed on, so it doesn't count  ;D

Had a cement mixer in the back of my enclosed truck going to a job. Crossed a raised highway a little quick to beat the light. Looked in the rear view maybe 500 feet later said to my helper "hey look ,some A hole lost a cement mixer!"

I almost lost my foot and ankle in Sturgis City Park, but a very nice old doc in Rapid City patched it up.. The young docs were scared to work on it..
Lost the reverse cone off my Hooker header riding thru Calgary one day, tried to find.. no luck.. Had a nice Thermos come off my bike at 60mph..scratced it to ratsh!t.. lost the cup..looked for a long time couldnt find it..

Had a buddy used to loose lots of crap off his bike.. you would get good at dodging qts of oil, tools, etc... following him..

Picked up a 350f parts bike, commented it still had [needed]   top for the air filter. Set it in place and got on the hiway with no seat, forgot to take it off.  Wind did it for me.

Lost the tappet adjustment screw and lock nut on the road out in almost the middle of nowhere.  It went through this hole.

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

In the garage I always lose the tool I need next! Then as soon as I don't need it anymore, VOILA! It magically appears. Grrr!

You mean it unwound itself and punched through the cover?

From what I have heard, it might be and there are a few occurrences in the forums.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.
