Hey Brother, I WILL be PMing you before long. For now, We are working to find a nice Assisted Living Retirement Home for him, down here. Finding that I have a number of things to do and that the cost is going to be more than in Arkansas. But, there ARE some things about the place that we are looking at, THAT really is more appealing. Probably gonna be more around May &/ JUly, before we REALLY get into the moving part. BUT, I will definitely keep you and your offer, in mind. Michelle actullay belongs to and attends a Baptist Church in Lavonnia (I believe). I've been there, but not exactly sure which town it is tied to. I DO appreciate your offer AND I will be in touch.  ;)

Thanks, it's looking like we have to get on a "Waiting List" and there is No Telling how long it will take. The cost is kinda high too, like MORE than double what we are paying now. Of course, the quality of care, has to be looked at and the place we are looking at, DOES have more to offer.  ;) We';; just DO what we have to do.  :)

Nice to see you here Bill. Its a far ride from Bluffton SC but one of my boys and I will come see ya when you get settled in. Or better yet we could meet for lunch on the bikes somewhere between You, Atlanta  and I. The 3-5 person crew from Atlanta likes to travel. I travel alone 99% of the time. We plan to meet in  Augusta Ga soon.    Safe travels Bill.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

I'm Very happy for both You and Michelle and Thank God for getting you both together w/ each other;I know from experience...it's not good when being alone feels "normal".
Let me know how I can help..you may need me sooner than  expected and I'll sure be down there about May 16.I'm a safe & careful driver if you need me to help transport a vehicle to N.E.GA. for you.
Bill, Did you find a Nice assisted living place for you're Dad ? I know what you mean about how nice this forum is and they can almost seem like family.  :)

Thank you Bill. And We feel that God had his hand in this, as there are just so many indications. SOME may do just fine, being single, but it sure isn't ME. I need someone to share things with and to do things with. She is into motorcycles and cars and wants me to keep what I can, for "US" to work on and ride/drive too. She knows that I am somewhat active in the Car Club and participate in SOME car shows and is looking forward to that as well. I'll tell you that, THIS is just SO PERFECT!  8)

Soon as I can get started on the move, I'll know more about what and when I'll need help with. Thanks for the offer too. And ANYTIME I can help YOU, Son't heditate there either. That's what friends are for.

Pretty much settled on a place for my Dad. They do alot for their folks, like encouraging them to participate in activities, to include outtings outside the home and though the price IS more than I was expecting, I can get assitance through the VA and then it will be about what we are already paying. I mean, my Dad had over 42yrs service, when he retired, back in '85.

Yeah, this bunch IS my Family and helped me through the time when my (socalled) brother and his wife tried to put my Dad in a nursing home, take everything he had AND put Me out of everything AND when my Wife past away and the support I got from here, was just SO incredible and also, MOST of the entries on my Wife's Guestbook on Making Everlasting Memories (MEM online), were from SOHC4 members and THAT meant (and STILL means) alot to me.
