Exactly, I think it is a good thing, gene pool gets strengthened.

My worry is they might have reproduced before the thinning occurred.  ;)

I live by Hines Park, a 13 mile winding road in the middle of Suburban Detroit.
I've already seen dozens of riders riding without helmets. ... Lookin' all bad ass and #$%*.
...
I always wear my helmet.

My wife is a therapist for people with brain damage... some from MC accidents.
It's almost worse than a fatality in many ways. At least with that it's done and past.
But with a brain injury .. people are literally #$%*ed up in the head in ways you can't imagine... it affects heavily, everyone around then for many many years. Brains don't heal back like skin and bones.

Wait, next week the Michigan Government will enact a law that says, "Anyone sustaining brain injuries while riding a motorcycle without wearing a helmet, will be treated by paramedics like a lame horse and humanely euthanized at the scene."

No more burden on society, they'll coin it the "Kevorkian Motorcyclist Law."  :-X

Wear a Helmet, give the Paramedics a break!!!!!

Why not take it one more step and just treat all motorcycle accidents that way.
Obviously if you ride a motorcycle at all, you are totally stupid and shouldn't be allowed to live or reproduce.

well logically if you like motorcycling you would want to do it again and again but don't wear a helmet and that will be short lived

the seat belt ticket here in michigan is 75 dollars no points but i have paid over 325.00 of them

I grew up without seat belts and can't seam to break the habit

however there is nothing in this world that would get me to ride without my helmet or my armor

the hospital is the most expensive hotel you will ever stay in and the food is rotten and so are the beds but maybe you just want to say you spent $3000.00 a night just to stay somewhere

my cousin had a low speed crash (26mph) on my 76 750A and although i could easily fix the bike
he cracked every single one of his ribs the doctor said his rib cage looked like a junk yard and when he took his full face helmet off he never asked for a half helmet again the helmet was deeply gouged across the face of it
when you own a motorcycle the wife does not have to find you handy she just has to find you

Nothing like slapping around hospital food.. it has its place.. not supposede to be a fun enjoyable place.

If you had to cook for 1000 or more people.. wonder how it would taste. Give the health care workers some credit..

You suggesting I don't ride,  because I choose to wear a helmet and poke fun at the excitement over not having to wear one in Michigan?  Tell me how much fun it is catching a stone in the head from the rig your following on the interstate, I'll suffer the inconvenience and wear one.

Health care workers don't cook, it is usually contracted out...

I don't know what it is with people that jump up and down about wearing helmets and scream freedom, a good look at some of the laws you have finds there are far worse restrictions on your freedom of choice than wearing a helmet. the helmet is a safety device that in the end saves everyone money through less brain trauma, banning eating ice cream or banning skating rinks and dance halls is completely stupid and far more freedom robbing than a safety device.....  There's an old saying, "if you have a $2 head then buy a $2 dollar helmet" so if your heads worth nothing then i suppose i can understand..... ::)

Thanks for the reminder, Dave!  I completely forgot we have a box of that exact same popcorn sitting on top of the fridge that my wife bought off a boy scout a few months ago.  Gonna go pop some now! :)

I bet he looked cool tho.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

All the more reason not to ride until you get sorted with proper kit.

I used to see that a lot in Denver.  They did have helmets, but they were attached to the helmet lock on the side of the seat instead of on their head.  At least the bike, leathers and helmet all matched! ::)
