K0 wiring harness?
« on: April 14, 2012, 07:42:33 AM »
I'm putting my K0 back together annd searched with little result. Do we have options for the wiring harness? I have two old ones and a K4 to choose from but they're well, old. This isn't a number match bike so I'm not above wiring in a newer harness. Just don't want to create more problems than I am curing. I will be using the factory handlebar switches.
I'm no wiring savant but can trace a circuit and have wired a couple race cars.

I've bought a k1 from then and have ordered other items from them countless times.  I haven't connected the wire harness so I can't vouch for their effectiveness and correct gauge but the build quality looks very good.

The K0 harness has the round ignition plug, I don't think I have a switch like that in my parts boxes. I wonder if they also sell the later model square connector so it won't look butchered like the one I have now.  I'll need to spend some time on it after my race car is finished.

They sell both the round plug and square.  I bought the round plug type.

Good to know, thanks. I'm going to get one.

I purchased a new one from Honda dealer.  I think the whole wiring harness was around $300 and all nice and brand new.  Color matched the old one and it eliminated a lot of guessing should the bike not have started...
