Best way to restore stiff carburetor boots?

My carburetor boots on my 75 cb750f are pretty stiff and i was searching for a cheap way to restore them. any advice helps, thanks in advance.

i like the way that sounds, but it is pretty hard to find wintergreen oil anymore. any other ideas??

This is the cheapest I could find it in a hurry.  3 of those bottles would mix up about a 1/2 gallon of the xylene/wintergreen mixture.

Forget pharmaceutical wintergreen.  Tire Prep #12 for go carts and quarter midgets.  Enough for lots of rubber parts.

I put mine in a crock pot I got from the thrift store for 2 bucks then filled with water until the boots were covered and added about 4oz of wintergreen. I left them cooking in the crock pot for about 6 hours and they came out as good as new! I did this about a year ago and just had the carbs off a few weeks ago and they are still nice and pliable.
