Topic: Man, I must be loosing it - anyone want a '75 550k?

Not only am I listening to my own consious, but my wallet AND my Finacee`!! I must be loosing it.

ON the way home from work the other day I saw a bike for sale on the side of the road. Yesterday I stopped and checked it out. 1975 CB550K. The sign said "$475. Needs Carb Work." Well, it needs carb work, new throttle and clutch cables and a new control pod on the right hand bar, but other than that, it looks great!!! The engine looks like it has just been painted (and a nice job was done, too). The fram looked in great shape, the rims were nice. The only two cosmetic blemishes are the seat (which is fine, it's just one of those ugly King/Queen seats that doesn't seem to fit properly) and the tank. It looks like they start to pain the tank and lost interest half way through, It's matte black and it looks like they just kinda left it there like that.

It Needs tires/ I'm sure I could talk the guy down to $400. I can't beleive I'm letting this one go. Anyone want another bike? Anyone on the Vermont Area?

Shame on you for not dragging it home. Go back and get it now! You will find out that the women folk will rag on you about anything all the time, so get the bike and just tune it out. If its not the bike, its the lawn, house, roof, car - so take control and know what the topic is going to be.
And a wallet is just an emtpy item. If the bike doesn't suck the coins out something else will. So let something you want empty the wallet instead of rent, power, heat - you know secondary stuff.
