I've had my CB through the winter, and understand how cold blooded they are, but I have had much more difficulty lately. Here's what happened:
-I installed a new headlight, which I picked up at the local cycle store and may be higher wattage than the previous one.
-Went out of town for a week and came back to a bike that wouldn't start. I tried kick starting with no avail; bump starting seemed to do the trick.
-Took my battery in and tested it: 30% charge, but 65% life left was the diagnosis, so I put it on a buddy's charger for a day.
-After fully charging the bike started fine (warm day). Next morning, the bike had juice for the electric start, but wouldn't catch any spark. I tried kick starting and that didn't have any success.
-This is how all morning (below 50 degrees) starts are now: won't turn over, but after about 3 bump start attempts it will fire up. In the afternoon it fires up no problem with the electric starter. After starting the bike, i have to pull the choke and rev it for a few minutes; it is much more finnicky than it was previous to this issue.
Is this an obvious battery issue, or could it be some other electrical problem, or possibly fuel delivery related?
