why does my valve cover breather hose leak oil. 1975 cb750

i noticed yesterday oil dripping from the hose and it's making a mess of things what causes this is there blockage somewhere do have to much oil in my tank.
I've done a lot of things in my life that I'm not proud of...and the things I AM proud of, "are disgusting"

Worst case scenario, blow by pressurizing the crank case. Yes, too much oil can do that and so can thin oil at times. Or even a combination of the two. You have to decide if it's a major or minor leak though. If its minor, I wouldn't worry about it. Just ride on. If its major, or you just can't get any sleep over it. Consider a leak down test.
