Are apps required to use the forum on a phone, or are the apps there just to make the forum viewing easier somehow? Just a question of ignorrance I guess, I dont believe I have an app loaded on mine to view the forum...Boats

not required but tapatalk does work nice.  many current technology forums support tapatalk but some older ones do not.

None.  I don't use my smart phone in forums.  A- I spend too much time in forums to begin with, and B- even though mine is a larger phone, I have trouble seeing it, even with magnifiers.

Tappatalk lets you upload pics from the phone, unlike Safari. But i read and write in a browser 99%of the time, i got used to the browser before downliading the app.
