Topic: What color should I paint my 74? best place to get flake sunrise orange?

My vote is for the orange...that is what I went with, well sort of.
I am not sure about the maroon, but I know that the orange and green are candy colors...which makes things complicated. The paint itself is more expensive and if you are having a shop spray it the labor is more expensive as well...and not all shops will lay it down. What I did was look for a base coat clear coat color that was close which ended up being Dodge's Toxic Orange....it is on the new Chargers (2011 or 2012).
It is a bit darker but looks good. I can post a pic if you like?

CB cafe,did the same thing went with mango tango/toxic.But my supplier mixed lighter.just finished painting.

Here are pics of my tank in the Dodge Toxic Orange layed down by the one and only Johnny5 who did a fantastic job with the Toxic Orange, but is unfortunatley out of the tins business, but has moved onto more exciting things.
To give you a flavor for what a body shop may charge you for a tank and side cover candy job, I checked in with a family friend who owns and operates a body shop and whose forte is muscle cars, etc.; I told him what I was looking for and the told me that it would probably be around $1,000. and that he might not even do it for me as as candy was such a pain in a@#.  Base coat clear / coat was less than half that price; it may not pass muster with an oem purist, but I am not working on a concours bike and it is pretty darn close.

So is vintage honda paint the best deal?.... I wasnt planning on dropping 300 on paint (engine and frame included) in just paint
I'm going with orange...but my next build its gonna be that silver with candy blue...I'm keeping that one
