As far as a timeline it all depends on when we can get someone out to Greg in/near Idaho. I think once Godzila hits Portland he should be easy to get up north.

Sorry to hear about the bike, but glad you are OK.  We'll figure something out.

thanks Greg. I still feel like a horses ass and am super bummed out. Like you said at least I'm ok. I walked away with a couple bruises and a ruined pair of levis. Either way I'll try to get on everyday and check in and try to actually do the coordinator thing lol.

Happy riding to all of you, be safe.

Hey Mickey,

Once Lefty makes the turn and starts heading East, how much territory does the PNW team plan to cover?  I haven't seen any riders speak up for Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Montana or the Dakotas. I'm hoping we won't need to UPS him to Minneapolis!!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

I know what you mean old school, there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in our region. With my bike down I'm also worried that Oregon may not really have a showing at all this year. As far as milage I have no idea what the total is going to be. It depends on the routes our riders choose. But here's an idea what if all the riders/ groups that are planning to participate put up the route they are planning on taking along with the goggle maps milage. It should give us a good idea of first off where any gaps are in our portion of the relay, how many miles we plan to cover and what awesome roads we pic. Yeah I'm anti ups too ;).

So with that said where we stand now. Greg (ofreen) is stepping up big for our region as he did last year and making the long trip from Utah to Oregon. So we need someone who can ride to meet Greg for the hand off. Which leads to a question for Greg. When do you think a realistic drop to Oregon would be if the schedule keeps from Colorado? Then we need to find someone willing to take "lefty" north.

So lets start there it will help us get a timeline penciled out and let those would be participants schedule for their portion. Then we'll figure out the trip in the Great White North and then back East.

It looks like I am on schedule to pick GZ up on Saturday in Utah.  I'll bring him home by way of Nevada.  I can't ride during the week as easily I could last year so a meet up the following weekend somewhere in eastern Oregon would work for best for me.  That would give you a little time to work something out, too.

thank you Greg for the up date.

So who can do the hand off in eastern Oregon the weekend of the 9th??

This puts us a bit ahead of schedule so we could afford a couple days of Portland if there is anything going on. Then head up to Seattle where we could afford a few days.

Assuming (dangerous word lol) everything works out that should put Godzilla in Canada around the 15th. That outs the whole relay ahead of the proposed schedule by 8 days so there is some leeway. Totally open to suggestions and input. If there is a show or whatever that you guys want Godzilla to participate in I say go for it. Just keep us informed, I just don't want us to fall behind and ruin the plans for those who will be carrying Godzilla after us.

Sounds like plans are shaping up, I'll reach out to those members that I can place in the PNW to help drum up more interest (what could possibly be more interesting than this?).  ??? I know that member "michrobi" was disappointed about missing out last year, but I also see that the last post was October of last year, so if someone can reach michrobi in Seattle we might get some help there.

Other PNW riders we haven't heard from:

*Industrial Rat 400f Killer (Seattle)
*Seaweb11 (Gabriola Island, BC)
*1080 (BC)
*Duanob (Seattle)
*tweakin (Washington State)
*tlbranth (Seattle) #42 on the rider list but has not posted here...  ???
*brandEn (Des Moines, Washington)
*patricke9 (Seattle)
*Grnrngr (Portland, Oregon)
*kap384 (Calgary, Alberta)
*MotorFist (Idaho Falls)
*CJams (Seattle)
*wlorix (Livingston, Montana)
*tomsweb1 (Edmonton, Alberta)
*gregk (British Columbia)
*FunJimmy (Vancouver, BC)
*timdhawk (Billings, Montana)
*Roach (Vancouver, BC)
*DarcyCB400F (Cochrane, Alberta)
*bikerbart (Bellingham, Washington)
*NickC (Astoria, Oregon)
*joren (Portland, Oregon)
*paulages (Portland, Oregon)
*flateric (Seattle) #116 on the rider list but has not posted here...  ???
*754 (Kelowna, BC) #50 on the rider list but has not posted here...  ???
*turkey4me (Yakima, Washinton)
*wheelipop (Seattle)
*Nick@lockitup (Warrenton, Oregon)
*Ringo (Bozeman, Montana)
*Stevenarrow (BC/Alberta?)

I figured the extra week between Team Central Rockies and Team Pacific Northwest would help get "over the hump" (i.e. Rocky Mountains) and to help make the turn back to the East.  ;)

Keep the ideas coming!  8)

A lot of this depends on dates. I can't really take time from work Tuesday through Friday. And the wife and I plan on taking a vacation the last 2 weeks of June before she starts a new job the first of July. Just a heads up on my situation. I may have to miss out again this year  :'(

Don't count Flybox1 out either I think he's working feverishly to get his new 750 ride ready in time.

Keep an eye here too! The main map is just a guide, the actual local routing is up to the local riders and could very well deviate substantially from what is shown on the preliminary map.  8)

Hey, sorry for the radio silence, fellas.
Been busy with my head in the “Tail of the Dragon 2012” motorcycle trip.

I’ll be in Seattle having the Interceptor dyno tuned by the good Doctor, June 8th, but I’m out of town on business the following week. The GZ journey could resume, en-route to 754 the week of June 18th.

For another option, July 6th - 8th, Wookie, tweakin, BrandEn, and I are riding the North Cascade Hwy, looping through Osoyoos BC as we work our way northwest to Whistler. This would be an awesome GZ route with 4 clean CB's, but bypasses Vancouver.

I’ll keep an eye here for comments.

Cheers

A bit of a rethink: I could PU GZ in Seattle on June 8th and return to Vancouver. If time permits, I’d show him the time of his life in Vancouver (including some Shore mountain biking) before heading on the North Cascade Hwy trip in July. Maybe 754 could pick him up in the 2010 Olympic city of Whistler. Who knows, maybe BrandEn could take GZ down the infamous Whistler luge track.   :o

Speaking of Vancouver, I'm free as of June 15th.
Why not Seattle to Victoria then up island to either Nanaimo or Comox, then across to the mainland?

Last year I missed out, so hopefully I'll get a shot this time 'round.
