CB750F Rear Master Cylinder Rebuild
« on: June 08, 2006, 04:06:56 am »
So I took strip the master cylinder down a few weeks ago and ordered the rebuild kit.  I just now got the kit and have little memory of how it all went together.  I have the manual but I can't quite decipher which part is which and how it all goes together. I was hoping that one of you might be able to make sense of this for me.  Here is what I have:

In particular, I'm confused by A, B & C.  Does "A" sit in the spring?  if so, how? and which end of the spring goes into the cylinder?  One end of the spring has a flat cap to it.
Where does the little rubber "cup" labled "C" go?

Since I didn't completely dismanlte the old set up I realize that D goes on E, so that's not a problem.  Any tricks on how to get the rubber around the ends without tearing it?

Thanks,
Bra

Hi!
So, A goes first (flat side to bottom of cylinder), next B (it goes in cylinder like it shown on the picture), next is C (like it shown).
Use brake fluid to lubricate rubber before assembly.
