Just checking in again after another stint down in NM.

Curemode and I are pretty much set on our end for a meet and hand off on June 1st in Evanston, WY.  When you front range riders get things worked out on your end of the state, just give me a date and location for a meet with you.  I am flexible on all dates, all routes.

Curse you new job!! I'm still officially in training even though I'm working the same stuff as the regulars so I'm banned from days off until I'm done with that. As for the more important part of the equation, the bike, I could have it done but I would have but only a day or two for some shakedown rides. I'm keeping my eye on this and my fingers crossed, if I can get her together then I might just join in for some puttin' around Colorado.

Right now Coke, Zeek, and I are trying to shoot for spending the night in Wichita and then heading north the  morning of the 19th. We can go to Salina/70 or maybe further north toward Nebraska to meet Westondc.  Just trying to put it together.
Let us know.                                    Taxi

I have it cleared with the wife and work to be off on the 21st so I could run somewhere even on the 20th and head back the 21st.  I have to be back to work on the 22nd though so that is the best I can do.

I have a pretty flexible schedule and as long as the wife is cool with it, I could probably get GZ to Craig. Not sure about the pick up at the NE border though.

Funny thing is, I might be gone over our anniversary. I asked her about that and she had forgotten. It looks like I'm in the clear guys.

Talked to Westondc last night Coke & Zeek. Looks right now like we will meet up with him in Wichita on friday afternoon late, or friday evening the 18th.    Saturday the 19th in Salina will be the alternate if he can't make it friday evening to Wichita.  Will work out nice if we can overnite in Wichita. Mebbe do some dinner and suds .... visit. He said there is a real nice vintage cycle museum near Salina.     Just tentative .... everybody chime in.

Actually it's south of Salina, a little west from a town called Lindsborg, aka "Little Sweden".  Great museum.

I'm no longer in the KC area since I started my new job in Ellsworth KS. I'm off work at 4 to 4:30 so I can meet friday evening or Saturday morning depending on when GZ needs a ride. It's about 3 hours to Wichita and a little over an hour to Salina from my place.

I plan to take part in the OBR10 in Golden on the 20th. I wonder if it's reasonable to leave from OBR when it's over in the afternoon and head toward KS. Could we do a hand off Sunday night or Monday somewhere near CO/KS line in time to get back to Denver on Monday? I must say I've never been on a long distance ride so I'm not sure if this is realistic for me. For those who have done OBR when does the ride typically come to an end? Otherwise, I can likely get off work 5/21-5/24. Camping Memorial weekend.

The "ride" dont usually get over till 5 or so.   Most usually skip out after lunch.  The gathering at the start is the best.
Salina is 400 miles from denver so if we go out sunday will need to get a decent start.
I'm not sure still if I'll be able to go.

We can still coble something on the nitehawk and you can use it.   I can modify it to accept one of my other tanks.  All it needs then is a tune up.
If I do go too whats everyone thinking on the trip out?  Maybe one day out and two back?  Camping?

CB650 - Don't know that we'd need 3 days but we sure as hell could TAKE 3 days! What days can you go? Roughing it is fine with me. I'm (old but) flexible  ;D and one onery old MF'er! I could drive up and leave from your place. Don't let me forget that damn seat! Gotta say, one of the agencies I work for has an open invitation to book me on days I'm not scheduled. Forewarning. If we figure this in advance I'll block them off! Think I could get more than 70 miles each fill up this year?

Keith, could something like this work for you? Last year we met up on the road if you couldn't meet in north Denver. I'd hate to ask Terry to bring the bike to me  ;)

Apex?

New guy? Jahmic (sorry, your reply wasn't in this lot of replies I could see so I couldn't pull up your handle  ;) )

Paul?

Anyone else?

I think I might try and be part of the run to Craig. I'd love to meet up with you guys, possibly to see you off but definitely to pick up GZ.

Who all is going to on the western Co trip? I'd like to firm up all the who/what/when.

I think tues, wed, or thurs would work good for me. Even two days if need be, three would be difficult to make happen at work.

YOU now. Ride to Craig would be good especially if Trail Ridge is opened. I know you like that bitter cold  ;D

I took off the auto shut off and can make frame mods to get a regular 650 tank on it.
Other than  that will be the same as last year.
We would have to leave sunday morn for me to make it 3 days.  Can do 2 but rather come back on other than 70.
We would have to cross trail ridge in the snow to make it right. ;D

Think you're about right on Proto but doesn't look like Terry and I will be able to connect for more than 1 day. I can ride Sunday, Tue, Wed, and Thur but NOT Mon. I have a day of work scheduled and it's my daughter's birthday. We do what we have to do and if I can't connect then so be it as I know Godzilla will be in good hands with you guys. Work this around your schedules and if I can make something happen I will. The main thing is that someone(s) have to meet westondc when he can make a connection. That's what we have to make happen.

PM curemode2002 and see what you guys can work out. He's taken the lead on Utah. As far as routing goes the only non-variables are the connections for Godzilla. He has a date and place planned to meet with Proto in the sw corner of Wyoming and then with ofreen to handoff. You guys can make anything happen between those 2 points and 2 dates. I'm just glad we have Utah riders this year!
