This weekend was a blast! just letting the crew know that me and zilla made it to Lincoln... after taking shelter in a farmers shed until the hail storm passed  :o

Glad to hear that you made it home okay.  Whereabouts did you run into the hail storm?

Coke and I rode parallel to the storm most of the way up to Nebraska. I caught up with the tail end of it about 20 miles from Lincoln, go figure. Just a little hail and heavy rain for a short time. Sounds like the worst of it was west of Wichita that day producing some tornadoes. good thing we didn't have to deal with that  :o

Hey Coke, good to hear you make it back fine. I had a great time hanging with you and the rest of the SOHC4 crew and thanks for riding along up to Nebraska. That little Honda of yours is amazing! Dont let the small displacement fool you, that bike can hang with the rest... even if there going 80 mph on the Kansas Interstate  ;D Looking forward to seeing more of your pics. any idea how many miles you've logged up to this point?

here's a few pics i had on my phone from the weekend. I'm counting on the other riders to provide pictures so i have something to accompany the story I tell my roomates about the weekend

Like Coke said, you can use facebook, or what I did was get a free account from photobucket.com, then use their link to copy the picture (IMG) and then just copy it onto your forum post.

Unforturnately I think the guy from the Marquette paper is the one that took those pics!  I should've taken one of Pinhead and Trent by their bikes, too.

Unfortunetaly some of us don't do Facebook and would like to see the pictures. Is there a way to link without signing up?

Photobucket.com is freebie. Upload the pix, click and copy the IMG link then paste on here. No resizing etc necessary.

Ok, I know this is going to sound just crazy, but the wife and I may not have anything to do for Memorial day holiday after all..  so if we don't, we are thinking about hauling my V-Rod up to Nebraska or Colorado and I can ride with you guys and she can pull trailer along behind.  I would bring the 360F but the chain has stretched to the limit and I don't think I could get on and get it on in time with grand daughter ball games and work  and honey do lists ... I would ride the Glide but the wife hasn't ever gone that long and she doesn't want to go this far for the first longer ride.  anyone have a problem with me riding along on a Harley if I can make it?

Speaking of things H-D...This is a pic of an H-D drag bike at the Thunder Rally in Marquette.

The funny part about this was, they made a big announcement over the loudspeaker that they were going to start it up.  So everybody and his brother's cousin go over to get a good view, encircling the bike.  They cranked the starter...nothing happens.  Just turning it over with the starter made more noise than GZ's support bikes put together.   So out come all these guys dressed up in H-D tech uniforms.  About an hour later they did get to run, and you could feel the atomosphere get sucked away as it ran!

Here's some pictures from inside the Kansas m/c museum

coke, it would be great to have you along for another stretch of the relay. i bet that 350F would love to claim another state but i'd like to checkout that v-rod too. I was going to start asking the Colorado guys about the plans for the meet up this weekend near Denver. My group is planning on leaving from Lincoln Nebraska Thursday afternoon and taking HWY34 (south of I-80) to near McCook Nebraska to camp Thursday night. We plan to ride the rest of the way to the Colorado on Friday.

I'm in north Denver. Jerry is in Colorado springs. I'm not totally sure who else wants to get in in this birthdays where we are at.

I noticed you said Hwy 34. Are planning on heading into Denver? If so, you could take 76 into town and I'm not far from where you would enter Denver. Cb650 is just around the corner as well, if he's not working. I hope to be out of work by the time you get in.

Just an FYI, I haven't taken the bike out in about a month and took it up to golden for OBR this weekend. The old girl was leaking oil from the head gasket like a Brit bike. I'm going to try to get some more miles on her this week but I might have to bow out for the ride to Craig. Hope not, but there is a chance

When do you guys plan on taking Trail Ridge Road to Craig? I noticed Estes Park is at the head of Trail Ridge Road and I was thinking our group could ride there instead of Denver on Friday, book a room, and meet up there with the CO riders for at least part of the ride to Craig (Saturday?). Once I know when the CO guys plan to leave for Craig I can plan our weekend accordingly. These are just some ideas, my plans are flexable.

What I had planned was to leave Denver Saturday and stay somewhere in Craig. Then ride back to Denver on Sunday.
